Position
As an Advancement Coordinator, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to work with approximately 530 exceptional young men, talented faculty, and dedicated staff. Located in New York City, Regis High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school and the only Jesuit, full-scholarship high school in the country. The school was founded in 1914 through the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous woman and her family. Regis now thrives on the philanthropy of alumni, parents, and friends as its most significant source of financial support. Regis prioritizes academic excellence while nurturing a spirit of generosity and service to those in need. Each year, the school raises approximately $10 million or more for the Annual Fund from over 5,000 donors to help cover approximately 50% of its operating expenses and has recently completed a strategic plan, which outlines key priorities for the next several years. Position Summary
Regis High school seeks a passionate, mission-driven, and talented individual to play an important role on its Advancement team. The Advancement Coordinator will report to the Annual Fund Director and will also work closely with the Vice President for Advancement and other members of the Advancement staff. This individual will support and coordinate projects related to fundraising and community-building, all in pursuit of advancing the mission of Regis High School.
Job Responsibilities
  • Supports the year-long estimated $10 million Annual Fund campaign, including assisting with donor relations (i.e. responding to donor inquiries and supporting Class Fund Chairs) and coordinating the accurate and timely acknowledgement of gifts to the Annual Fund.
  • Coordinates annual student fundraiser, the Regis-Dominican Academy Walkathon, in collaboration with other Advancement staff, Regis administrators, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates the Young Alumni Challenge, a spring fundraising campaign for the most recent alumni of Regis High School, in collaboration with Annual Fund Director and other Advancement Staff.
  • Attends selected Advancement Office events to assist (e.g. reunions, receptions, speakers).
  • Assists the Advancement Database Manager and Annual Fund Director with daily gift entry. Responsible for PayPal, Venmo, Stock, and wire donations.
  • Processes matching gift requests and maintains accurate school documents necessary for company matches.
  • Completes other projects as deemed appropriate by the Annual Fund Director and/or Vice President for Advancement.
  • Supports and is willing to advance the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school.
  • Works in collaboration with the administration in observing the principles and ideals for which Regis High School stands.
  • Devotes energies to teaching in conformity with the policies of Regis High School and is subject at all times to the general control and supervision of the Principal.
  • Any other assigned tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
  • A minimum of one to three years of professional advancement experience and/or relevant experience in another industry/field.
  • Understanding of and a passion for Regis’s mission of educating young men in the tradition of the Society of Jesus including a respect for and understanding of Regis’s Jesuit and Catholic culture.
  • A self-starter with the ability to initiate and follow through on new programs and projects both alone and as part of a team that generates revenue and goodwill in order to achieve strategic and organizational goals.
  • A team player with the ability to lead and contribute to Advancement Office projects, including coordinating with colleagues to achieve desired outcomes, prioritizing short- and long-term tasks, and tracking and reporting on progress to goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge.
  • Strong social and customer service skills, with an eagerness to problem-solve, as well as comfort with networking and forward-facing donor relations.
  • Some evenings and weekends are required for this position.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in business, communications, liberal arts, non-profit management, or other related field is preferred. Evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars, or professional associations is preferred.
Status
This is a full-time position.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range 65-75k, Commensurate with years of experience and level of success in the institutional advancement area.

Most benefits go into effect immediately. Participation in the 403 (b) occurs after one year of employment.
