Young Alumni “Return" To Regis For Virtual Catch Up
Some college-aged alumni shared their experiences with remote learning with Fr. Daniel K. Lahart, SJ, and members of the Regis Development Office.

On Friday, January 7, college-aged alumni “returned” to Regis as part of Home for the Holidays: Alumni in College Virtual Catch Up. Though unable to gather at 84th Street as in past years, alumni spent the afternoon reconnecting and sharing news of their time after Regis.

The program began with a brief welcome for all participants by Regis President Fr. Daniel K. Lahart, SJ. Vice President for Development James Kennedy '02, returning to his roots as an English teacher, then led the group through a Regis trivia contest, with the winners being awarded a Dr. Anthony Fauci ’58 T-shirt jersey. Afterwards, individual Zoom rooms organized by class year and faculty member were opened for alumni to reminisce with former classmates and teachers.

I look forward to this event every year, and while the format was a bit different this time around, I enjoyed the opportunity to connect with former students and hear their reflections on college, COVID, career discernment, and so much else," Kennedy said. “I'm grateful to the alums for joining us, and also deeply grateful to the faculty and staff who took the time to make themselves available."

Alumni competed in a Kahoot trivia to win a Dr. Anthony Fauci '58 T-shirt jersey.
