Outdoor Track and Field Wins Fourth Straight Division Championship

Regis's outdoor track and field team won its fourth consecutive CHSAA A Division title this weekend with an outstanding showing at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.
Several members of the Regis team turned in exceptional individual performances, including Griffin Conway '28, who won the A Division championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Conway's time of 9:48.07 set a new school record, breaking the previous record held by his father, Shane Conway '97. Conway was also named the meet's MVP.
Other standout track performances included Eamon Prus-Shearer '27, who broke the Regis record for the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.52 seconds, and Adam Beckford '28, who won the A Division 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.15 seconds. Regis was led in the field events by Anthony Grande '27, who won the A Division javelin championship.
The team finished the day with 82 points — 51 points ahead of the nearest competitor — to capture the John Donodeo Award as CHSAA A Division champions. The award is named after former Regis physical education teacher and track coach Mr. John Donodeo P'02.
