Sophomores Present Their Student Historian Project Research

Eight sophomores presented their work throughout May as a part of the Student Historian Project. Students in the SHP conduct research on a subject of their choosing with the help of faculty guidance.

The students met with Ms. Kara Papp and Ms. Kaitlin Landrein of the History Department as they conducted their research, then shared their work with the Regis community during presentations throughout the month.

"The Student Historian Project, now in its fourth year, gives students who demonstrate a passion for history the ability to spend the year working on a research project of their design," said Ms. Papp. "This is something different from our traditional courses, as they get to replicate what historians do by spending the year using archival and academic research for their topic. To see their projects evolve throughout the year, to witness their enthusiasm and dedication, and to now watch their final presentations has been one of the best parts of the program."
