Legendary Hearn Alumni to Return
For Special Centennial Debate
On Tuesday, April 15 Regis will host The Hearn Centennial Debate. The event's participants are an impressive who's who of prominent Regis alumni debaters and current debate coaches in the competitive Metropolitan New York area. Two person affirmative and negative teams will debate the resolution: "American Political Discourse no Longer Serves the Public Interest."

A Look Back
Olympics
During this 2014 Winter Olympics season, we wondered if any Regis alums had ever competed in an Olympic event. Our searching led us to John Nonna '66, who competed as a Fencer representing the United States in the 1972 Olympics. Read about his experience in Olympic competition here.

Actors & Directors
While Regis High School was being constructed in the Spring of 1914, the Foundress and her family visited Franz Xavier Wernz, S.J., the twenty-fifth Superior General of the Society of Jesus, in Rome. There, he presented her with a unique gift now on permanent display in the Regis Chapel. Learn more about that gift here.

Throwback Thursdays
Every Thursday of every week in the Centennial year, Regis is posting a photograph in its social media feeds as part of a Throwback Thursday campaign. For those not connected to social media, or for those who would like to browse through all of our posts, we have archived them for you here. Be sure to browse through the comments section of each post to view responses to the questions we pose.
