July 2013 | Capital One Commercial
Famed movie, television, and Broadway actor Alec Baldwin visited the hallowed hallways of Regis in July 2013 to film two Capital One television commercials. The theme of the commercial was: "Class is in session with substitute teacher Alec Baldwin. Today's lesson: the perks of Capital One Double Miles." The second commercial featured Baldwin as a police officer.

Spring 2013 | The Ordained
In Spring 2013, footage for the pilot episode of a CBS television drama titled
The Ordained was filmed within the school. The show’s plot revolves around the son of a Kennedy-esque family, played by actor Charlie Cox (
Boardwalk Empire), who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated. The cast of the drama includes Sam Neill (
Jurasic Park) and Jorge Garcia (
LOST). Multiple scenes were filmed within the Regis Auditorium and The Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola. While the pilot was not picked up for this Fall’s television lineup on CBS, it could be picked up by a cable network in the future.

Spring 2013 | Straight Outta Tompkins
A Movie titled
Straight Outta Tompkins filmed a variety of scenes in classrooms, hallways, and offices throughout Regis. The film, written and directed by Zephyr Benson, is expected to be released in late 2013.

September 2012 | Carmelo Anthony & Isotonix
6ft 8in, 5-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, the standout Small Forward for the New York Knicks, was on location in the Chemistry Laboratory to shoot a video for a vitamin commercial in September 2012. Before leaving Regis, Anthony, a 2012 Gold Medalist at the London Olympic Games, graciously posed for photos, spoke with a few students, and left an autographed basketball behind in the Chemistry Lab as a "thank you" to the Science department.

January 2012 | The Good Wife
In The Good Wife episode named Alienation of Affection *Season 3 | Episode 12) All the main characters were served in their own element. The main character, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) was served at her children's new school. Regis High School served as the backdrop for that school.

March 2010 | Remember Me
Remember Me A romantic drama set in New York City during the summer of 2001, where Tyler (Robert Pattinson), a rebellious young man, meets Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through a twist of fate. Her spirit helps him heal after a family tragedy. Scenes for the movie were fimed outside the 84th Street entrance and within classrooms. The film also features actor Pierce Brosnan.

September 2006 | Law & Order: Criminal Intent
Numerous scenes from an Episode of
Law & Order: Criminal Intent were filmed at Regis in 2006. The Episode (Tru Love | Season 6, Episode 2) focused on the detectives look into the questionable background of a recently murdered plastic surgeon, and find out his son may have his own unsavory shortcomings.

2005 | O.A.R's Lay Down
Rock group Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) filmed the music video for their song
Lay Down (which is featured on their 2005 album
Stories of a Stranger) at Regis High School.
October 2004 | Law & Order: Criminal Intent
In October 2004, the cast from Law & Order: Cruminal Intent was on location to film a scene for an episode titled
Want (Season 4 | Episode 3). The scene involved a confrontation between the detectives and the lead suspect, played by Neil Patrick Harris. Mr. Brad Serton, the current Dean of Students at Regis, served as an extra in the background of the scene which was filmed in the Regis Library. Unfortunately, the scene was cut and did not make it into the hour long episode that aired in October 2004.
Though the scene filmed at Regis was ultimately left on the cutting room floor, Emmy award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris spent some time at 84th Street in October 2004.
January 2001 | Finding Forrester
In this movie, A young writing prodigy, Jamal Wallace (Rob Brown) finds a mentor in a reclusive author named William Forrester (Sean Connery).
Some hallway and classroom scenes were filmed at Regis.

1981 | Prince of the City
Prince of the City is a movie about an NYPD officer who chooses to expose police corruption for idealistic reasons. The main character was based on a real-life NYPD Narcotics Detective. The script developed from Robert Daley's 1978 book of the same name. The film was directed by Sidney Lumet and featured the late Jerry Orbach. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, but lost to
On Golden Pond.

Early 1960's | Yogi Berra in Puss 'n Boots Commercial
In the early 1960's, Yogi Berra made his way to 84th Street for the filming of a commercial for Puss 'n Boots cat food. The commercial's final cut features a cat exercising in the Regis Upper Gym gym by jumping over the Regis pummel horse and using a trampoline. Berra then proceeds to have a "conversation" with the cat regarding the cat's fitness and diet, praising the virtues of Puss 'n Boots cat food. The cat's voice was provided by none other than Berra's friend and teammate, Whitey Ford. The commercial was one of the first to use a sports figure as a character, not as a traditional direct pitch man.
