Ms. Samantha Lehn and Mr. Christian Mariano '99 Named Assistant Principals

Regis High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Samantha Lehn as the Assistant Principal for Academics, starting July 1, 2017. The Assistant Principal for Academics assists the Principal in the overall academic operation and educational development of the school. Currently, Ms. Lehn serves as the Dean of Academics at Loyola School. She received her B.A. in Mathematics from Boston College and her Masters in Mathematics from Fairfield University. She has had a long and successful career as a math teacher in private and Catholic high schools, including five years at Georgetown Prep where she served as the Mathematics Department Chair.

Regis High School is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christian Mariano as the Assistant Principal for Student Life and Formation, starting July 1, 2017. The Assistant Principal for Student Life and Formation will assist the Principal in overseeing student life activities (extra-curricular and co-curricular) and formation programs. A 1999 graduate of Regis, Mr. Mariano currently serves as Principal at Corpus Christi School. A 1999 graduate of Regis, Mr. Mariano earned his B.A. in Sociology with a minor in German at the College of the Holy Cross. He earned his Masters in Administration and Building Supervision from St. John’s University and is also a graduate of the University’s Curran Principal Academy. He also served as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant of English in Austria, taught English at Saint Joseph Hill Academy on Staten Island, and has been a special project staff member for the Archdiocese.

The two assistant principal positions were created as we replace Fr. Ian Gibbons, SJ who will leave Regis at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 academic year. Together they will help us to better support students and faculty in these important areas of the school.
